Hours of operation of Day Charters. Day charters are based on an 8 hour day. 10AM to 6PM or 12 noon to 8PM are the standard itineraries. The 10AM to 6PM itinerary provides for a sit-down lunch onboard, watersport activities and return in time for dinner at one of the fine dining options ashore. The 12 noon to 8PM itinerary typically provides for a light lunch, watersport activities and sunset dinner onboard after returning to our mooring or dock location. An additional option, available only by prior arrangement, is extending the day charter into evening hours to enjoy the post sunset and twilight hours. The vessel will remain moored or docked at this time.
Hours of operation of Term Charters. Term charters start at 12 noon on the first day and end at 12 noon on the final day. Vessel time underway is limited to 5 hours per day maximum (except otherwise agreed by the captain), excluding moored, anchored, and docked. (MYBA terms).
Boarding and disembarking. Please arrive promptly at the boarding location. The captain typically provides disembarkment at the end of the voyage in one or more groups according to the guests needs. The vessel’s 34 foot tender SunShadow is included on all charters to facilitate boarding and disembarking and accessing shallow draft areas.
Policy on Pets. Always give is an advance call to ask if you can take a pet aboard. If we don’t know in advance, the answer will most likely be no, and it may be difficult to find a pet sitter at the last moment. We are pet friendly for up to one pet limited to the large exterior deck area of the vessel. Note that pets unable to remain calm during a boat voyage may raise safety concerns.
What is the largest size of the group that your vessel can accommodate? Due to US Coast Guard regulations, we can accommodate up to twelve (12) guests. This regulation is for all private charter boats and does not depend on the size of the vessel. Commercial party boats, ferries and cruise ships of course are in a different category and are configured differently.
What is the optimal size of the group for day chartering Endless Sun? This of course is up to the principal charter guest. Who we define as the person paying for the voyage and signing the agreement or his/her spouse. Just like one hardly ever fills all the available seats when traveling on your private jet, a luxury mega yacht experience will be quite exceptional with 6/8/10 people. Note that feedback from our guests has shown a charter for one or a few couples is super romantic. Family gatherings and business meetings of all sizes have been super successful.
What is the optimal size of the group for overnight chartering of Endless Sun? Up to six people is optimal. To provide the customary luxury charter exitance, 8 persons maximum for overnight charters is currently offered. Should a chef be required to stay onboard, this is an additional consideration.
Information on number of guests. Please provide advance information on the number of guests including number of children (and ages of children) when reserving your charter.
What is your inclement weather and cancelation policy? Our goal is to provide a fun pleasurable luxury experience for your voyage and day(s) on the water. For your safety and comfort, we reserve the right to cancel your charter at any time due to severe weather conditions or a mechanical failure. In such an event, your charter will be rescheduled, at no additional charge, to a mutually available date. Severe weather is determined solely by the Captain of the vessel. In some cases, we may delay your departure by up to one hour to wait for a weather system to pass. In moderate conditions, depending on the direction of the wind and general conditions on the day(s) of your charter the captain may change your itinerary to provide a more sheltered bay for water sport activities or may update the pickup and/or drop off points to provide a smoother embarking or disembarking experience. Please note that if we do not offer cancelations for cold weather. If we set sail on a day with less than ideal weather, and complete the full allotted time, discounts or credits will not be given as all expenses have been fully incurred. If you decide to return to base early due to weather conditions, we may issue a pro-rata credit towards a future sailing time, based on the returned time and sea conditions. Note that mega yachts such as the Endless Sun have a hydraulic stabilizer system that stabilizes the ride and perform better in all conditions than smaller yachts. If the sea state was deemed safe by the captain for the entire duration of your trip, no discount will be given.
Cancellation Policy Customers will receive a reschedule or credit for a future sail in case of operator cancellation due to foul weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price. You may cancel or reschedule your reservation up to 14 days before your charter date to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the charter date will be charged 50% of the charter price. Cancellations made 24 hours before the charter time will not receive a refund. Reschedules made within 14 days of the charter date will be charged a $1,000 reschedule fee. The reschedule fee for reschedules made within 24 hours of your charter is 50%.
Safety Sun Lux Serivces, LLC strives to create a fun and safe environment while on the water. Our licensed captains will provide excellent service based on your requirement and choice of destinations. The captain will provide a safety briefing and additional safety reated rules and procedures at the time fo your charter.
Jet Ski Please see our separate Jet Ski policy if use of the Jet Ski is desired by guests. Note that there are specific state regulations regarding the use of the Jet Ski.
Substance Abuse The use of illegal substances is forbidden on board the vessel, as is underage use of alcohol and tobacco. Violating this rule will terminate the charter and there will be no refund.
Disputes All disputes shall be governed by Federal Maritime Law. In any action against Sun Lux Services, LLC, its owners, or employees, which results in a decision, judgment, decree, order, stipulation, or settlement that substantially upholds Sun Lux Services, LLC position, the adversary party shall reimburse Sun Lux Services, LLC attorney’s fees, court costs, and expenses.
